Quotes and pricing
We do not publish a price list, because two holes the same size can need very different work depending on texture, location and what caused them. Instead, every job gets a written quote based on photos or a virtual walkthrough. That written figure is what you pay. The answers below explain how to get one quickly and what it includes.
Scheduling and the repair visit
Timing questions usually come down to two things: how much compound the repair needs and how fast it can dry. In Florida's humidity, drying is the step you cannot rush. For a full walk-through of each stage, see our guide to how a typical repair unfolds.
Texture, finish and paint
A repair is only as good as how it looks once painted. Most of our questions here involve matching knockdown, orange peel or skip-trowel patterns, and whether the patch will be ready for paint. Our texture-matching service page goes into more detail on each pattern.
Popcorn ceilings, leaks and trade damage
These three jobs come with the most specific concerns: safety testing for older ceilings, making sure leaks are dried out before closing anything up, and coordinating with the plumber or electrician who made the opening. If a leak is the cause, our notes on ceiling and wall damage after a plumbing repair are a good next read.
Warranty, safety and trust
Letting a crew into your home is a big ask. Answers about background checks, dust control, our 1-year written workmanship warranty and the walkthrough before payment are grouped below. You can also read about the veterans who founded the company.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a quote without someone visiting?
Text two photos to 727-242-8500: one wide shot showing the whole wall or ceiling and one close-up with a coin or tape measure for scale. Add your city and a sentence about what happened. We usually reply with a written quote within the hour. Free virtual estimates are also available by video.
Why won't you give me a price over the phone?
A verbal guess helps nobody if it changes later. Texture, ceiling height, whether paint is involved and what caused the damage all affect the work. Seeing a photo lets us give you a written number that stays fixed, with no hidden fees added at the end.
Is the quoted price really the final price?
Yes. Your written quote is the final price for the work described. If you decide to add more repairs once we are there, we will quote the extra work separately before doing it, so you always approve costs in advance.
How long does a typical drywall repair take?
Small patches are often wrapped up in a single visit. Larger repairs need several coats of compound, and each one has to dry before the next, which can stretch the job across more than one day in humid weather. We will tell you the expected schedule when we quote.
Do I need to be home during the repair?
Someone needs to let the crew in and be available for the final walkthrough, since payment happens after you inspect the work. Many landlords and property managers arrange access and do the walkthrough by video or in person at the end.
Why does Florida humidity matter for drywall?
Joint compound dries by releasing moisture into the air. When the air is already damp, the surface can feel dry while the inside stays soft. Sanding or painting too soon leads to shrinkage, cracking or visible seams. We pace coats to the conditions and run air conditioning where possible.
Can you match my existing texture?
In nearly every case. Knockdown, orange peel, skip-trowel, sand finish and smooth walls are all common in our area. We adjust compound thickness and spray pressure, test the pattern and then apply it over the repair. If we ever doubt we can match something unusual, we will say so before starting.
Will the repaired area be ready for paint?
Yes. We finish and prime repaired areas so they are ready for paint. We can also touch-up paint the repaired area to blend. On an older or faded wall, a small touch-up can look patchy, so we will tell you if the full wall should be repainted by your painter.
Should my popcorn ceiling be tested before removal?
If your home was built before the mid-1980s, the acoustic texture may contain asbestos. It should be tested by a qualified lab before anyone scrapes it. Once it is confirmed safe to disturb, we contain the room, use HEPA dust control and finish the ceiling the way you choose.
Can you repair a ceiling right after a leak?
The leak must be fixed first and the cavity has to dry fully. Wet or sagging gypsum gets cut out, insulation is checked, and new board goes in only when framing and surrounding drywall are dry. Closing up a damp ceiling invites mold and a repeat repair.
Do you work with plumbers, electricians and HVAC installers?
Yes. Closing access cuts after trade work is a large part of what we do. Homeowners often call us once the other contractor finishes, and general contractors schedule us as the follow-up crew so walls are ready for paint on time.
What does the 1-year warranty cover?
Every repair comes with a written workmanship warranty for one year. If the repair fails because of how we did the work, such as tape lifting or a patch cracking along its edge, we come back and correct it. New damage from leaks, impacts or structural movement is not workmanship.
How do you keep dust under control?
HEPA dust control is standard on every job. We also cover floors and furniture near the work area, isolate the room on bigger jobs and clean up before leaving. Sanding compound produces fine dust, so containment matters even on small repairs.
Are your technicians background-checked?
Yes. Everyone who works in customer homes is background-checked and insured. You can read about the people involved on our team page, and you will meet the technician during the final walkthrough.
Which areas do you cover?
We serve Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco, Polk, Manatee and Sarasota counties from our Clearwater office. That includes Tampa, St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Lakeland, Bradenton, Sarasota, Wesley Chapel and many surrounding communities, inland and on the coast.
